Safe Mode

When no power is applied to the mirror, it is at clear state (maximum reflectance); when a voltage is applied to the mirror, it changes the liquid crystal molecules (similar to changing a mechanical shutter) and the LC dyes absorb the light. Disconnection of the voltage from the mirror immediately switches back to the clear state.

Only with AlphaMirror's Digital Mirror you get a true fail safe mirror.

If a vehicle is equipped with tinted window at 95% of the lighting conditions there is no need for additional protection. For the other 5% we develop a specific configuration that maximize the driver's comfort and rear vision.
